Key responsibilities

Work with merchandisers and marketing teams to promote Steve Madden merchandise weekly utilizing email blasts and site banners. The merchandisers provided me with a product to promote and give me a general theme. From here I would come up with various concepts for the designs. In my time with Steve Madden I worked on designing the full look of the site, to working with an ad agency in it's design to concentrating on weekly banner replacements.

The Shivers NYC site design

Key responsibilities

The Shivers wanted an easy to update website to launch with their new record "In the Morning." I came up with this simple design which creates a blog like feel. The last two examples show an older Shivers site that went along with their last album, "Beaks to the Moon." I did the design and illustrations for this site.

State Capital Records is a startup record label that wanted a simple site to update and grow as more bands are added to their roster. Currently the label hosts 3 artist. I created a site to have the feel of a blog.

The last example is of an Electronic Press Kit for State Capitals artist the Shivers. This page is sent to blogs, magazines and any media that could offer press to the band.

Outer Borough Records site design

Key responsibilities

Outer Borough Records was a startup record label that is no longer in existence. They wanted a site that was clean cut and had a connection to the city. The design started with the logo which was inspired from NYC's subway system. The idea of the label was to spotlight music from musical talent in the NYC's boroughs outside of Manhattan.

For Dani's Closet I designed much of the major banner campaigns on the site. I would work with merchandisers who gave me a product to work with and I would design banners based on their names, seasons and fabric prints.

Shivers Album Design

I designed and illustrated the album art for the Shivers, "Beaks to the Moon" album. A caricature for each of the band members was created for the album insert. The album art and handwriting were all done by hand and then the images were colored in with Photoshop.

Hip Baby Fashion

Illustration created for a edgy baby fashion company. The image was hand drawn and recreated and colored in with Adobe Illustrator. The grungy effect was created in Photoshop.

About the projects

Various flash projects. A couple are assignments from a class I took at SVA the others I put together just for fun.

James Bond banners: SVA project to take two separate banners and have them sync together as if they were one. Also had to create this file sized at 100k or under.

Prospect Park gallery: SVA project to create a password protected photo gallery. I wanted to create a light feeling chic animation that could fit in with a Bloomingdales or Pottery Barn type of seasonal design campaign.

Photographs from a Junk Drawer: This was an interactive photo gallery I created to showcase a bunch of random photographs I took from around Brooklyn.

Shivers poster gallery: I created the artwork for the Shivers album which translated into many illustrated posters. Here I brought the bird from the album art to life in an interactive gallery showcasing the bands tour posters.
